Proclamation Day in St. Enda’s National School took place on Tuesday 15th March.  Families from the community came to the school to join with the children and the staff in an afternoon of celebrations.

The children performed various poems and songs for our visitors.  5th & 6th class children read  the 1916 Proclamation and then children from the third and fourth classroom read our own School Proclamation for a New Generation.

Our local Garda Yvonne raised the Irish flag  while children from several classes played our national anthem on the tin whistle.

An Exhibition of our local town ‘Then and Now’ took place for all followed by refreshments! The families, community and visitors really enjoyed and everyone agreed that it was a very enjoyable and very memorable day. Well done to everyone who participated and many thanks to all who visited to celebrate with us.
