Members of the Irish Red Cross visited our school on Thursday, 19th March. The children enjoyed their visit to the classroom and loved to view the inside of the Red Cross Ambulance! The Red Cross Committee are running a Copper Fund accross the county at present. The purpose of this project is to get a Community Vehicle/Ambulance/Mini-Bus up and running in the county of Clare for the people of Clare. They asked the children to collect coppers lying around home i.e. 5c, 2c and 1c and any foreign coins. The colleciton box is full to the brim at present!! Well done to everyone in our school and thank you to the Red Cross on all the great work they are doing!
