A representative from The Burren Outdoor Education Centre visited our school on Wednesday 4th February to talk to children in 5th and 6th class. He spoke about the rocks and landscapes of the Burren. This learning involved the different rocks of the Burren and the Cliffs of Moher. Children also learned how to identify the different types of rocks by way of a hands on activities, how and when the rocks were formed, what the rocks were used for and they got a chance to examine fossils.
