Burren Fieldtrip

The children from 6th class spent a beautiful autumnal day exploring the natural wonder on our doorstep.

The children discovered the different flowers in the Burren while also learning the differences between Clints and Grykes.

We were also thrilled to meet some of the many wild goats that make up this dramatic area.

The children brought the history and geography curriculum to life as they learned about the influence of the ice age and the Celts on the region.

The children also explored Michael Cusack’s ancestral home and learned how the GAA has some very strong roots in Clare.
A great day was had by all.
