The children in Mr Carty’s class cooked up a storm on Thursday as they made Carbonara followed by Baked Alaska.
The children researched what ingredients would be required, the method of making such a complicated meal and how to work the oven and blender.
The children also learned all about the various ways in which heat reaches us.
In the case of the oven cooking the Baked Alaska, heat reached it through convection while the air bubbles created by the meringue stopped the ice cream from melting.
Science and English have never tasted so good!
