3rd and 4th class have been engaging in STEM activities this past term. We love exploring the area of science, technology, engineering and maths. Our first STEM project this year was to create a perch for our class Pom Pom, named Harry. The aim was create the tallest free standing structure that had a perch that we could place Harry on securely. We could only use the materials given to us by our teacher which included – lollipop sticks, straws, pipe cleaners, bun cases and masking tape. We are now brainstorming ideas to enter into the STEPS young engineers programme!
