Thrills and Spills – The School Musical by Chloe McNamara

When I got to school, I wrote down my homework and did Mental Maths. As soon as I finished, we were heading out the door to the Church as it was Ash Wednesday, the beginning of Lent.

When we got to the Church, I sat down and listened to Fr Robert. I was soon walking up the aisle to receive my Ashes. When Mass was over, we returned to school and tucked into lunch.

After what felt like an eternity, we finally headed off to the Pavilion to watch the musical Mamma Mia. On the way, I was deep in conversation when I heard a cry of agony. I followed the cries and found myself in front of Ms Cahill. She had stumbled and hurt her leg. We slowly helped her to the Pavilion.

Once inside, we were seated as the musical was set to begin. The musical was superb with the soloists singing with gusto. We were truly transferred to a Greek island, right in the middle of Lisdoonvarna. After the musical, there was a raffle and following that, we returned to school.
To complete a great day, when we got back to school, we went outside and played basketball.

Overall, I really enjoyed the day. I’m not sure whether Ms Cahill would agree!
