Garda visit

As part of our efforts to raise awareness about Internet Safety, the senior classes were visited by Garda Deirdre Scanlan.

Garda Scanlan talked to the children about the dangers associated with the internet and how pictures and comments that may seem funny at the time can be very hurtful and damaging later on in life. Garda Scanlan also used an example to show how a friendly ‘chat’ online can lead to something less pleasant.

We, here at St Enda’s, are so lucky to have recently bought new laptops and the children are busy putting together projects, researching new subjects and learning to type amongst other things. We, however, are aware that Internet Safety comes first when it comes to surfing the Web.
