3rd & 4th class have been engaging in all things STEAM related this term. STEAM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics. They have been loving getting to think like scientists and engineers so far.
Here in St Enda’s we have been lucky enough to be part of the STEAM In-School Support Project, facilitated by Michelle Culloty in connection with the Clare Education Centre and supported by the Irish-American Partnership. The initiative provides tailored support to schools in advance of the new STE (science, technology & engineering) curriculum.
We had a great day with Michelle learning all about testable questions and how to carry out some exciting, fun and very messy experiments. Children worked with Ms Carkill & Ms Lernihan to see which liquid created the biggest bubbles. As you can see we got some pretty good results!
