World Cup fever has come to Lisdoonvarna as the children set about doing projects on an assigned country. 
Every child, from our youngest to eldest, was put into a group and learned about their country. With our 6th class students acting as captains, it was wonderful to hear the buzz, excitement and learning around the school.
Children as young as our wonderful Junior Infants learned words such as ‘currency’ and ‘population’. Over the coming weeks each group will make a slideshow based on their country. This will be accompanied by an oral presentation and some artwork.
We can’t wait to hear about the jungles of Ecuador, the plains of the USA, the deserts of Morocco and much, much more.
